ABOUT MARIAH

Mariah is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has been performing for over two decades. Having written close to 50 songs, she enjoys headlining a show as much as she does backing up her friends on piano, guitar, vocals, bass, or drums. A worship leader and audio tech for the last decade, she understands the care and technical precision that good music has. If you catch Mariah at one of her live shows, you'll experience a unique blend of music, storytelling, and humor.

She graduated from college in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree with a focus on voice. She is currently a full-time worship-leader, a freelance podcast producer, an audio engineer, and continues to perform her original music on the side. After releasing her debut EP in 2016, Mariah + Mecario released the single, "Frontlines", as a response to the Charlottesville attack. 100% of the proceeds from "Frontlines" has been (and will continue to be) donated to Equal Justice Initiative. Her last EP release, Learn to Love (Live), came in the middle of the COVID pandemic and released in the summer of 2020. Recorded live, she took it back to the basics with just an acoustic guitar and her voice.

In June 2023, she released her most vulnerable song yet, Jesus-Loving Queer Kid, in which she explores and explains how her sexuality can coexist with her faith. This song has led her to opening for artists like Derek Webb, Jennifer Knapp, and Flamy Grant.
